| "spiritweaves says it all. you have found a way to weave spirit into the very fabric of the dance. it is incredibly freeing ... when you first announced that you would be having saturday morning classes i remember thinking "oh ... wow ... that's my only move slowly into the day morning ... how is this going to work?" and compelled to get there at the same time ... when i finally made the drive it was a no-brainer ... it is the air that i breathe, the food that nourishes spirit in each cell of my body ... the water that quenches my deep thirst for more ... everytime that i thought i was too tired, or too something, and have chosen to show up anyway, it has been deeply deeply nourishing, insightful, (our bodies are so revealing when we allow them to speak and choose to hear the messages that have been locked away for so long) and restorative ... the words from david the psalmist "he restores my soul" come to mind here ... it has become a safe place to allow myself to move through whatever shows up ... when i walk into the room, i've stepped into a sacred containter where it's all good" goes beyond lip service ... it has been a safe space to cry my way to JOY if that's what needs to be. sometimes it's the dance of funky restless i don't know what i'm doing and everything is stiff and it hurts and what am i doing ... always it Moves me back to source ... center ... spirit in the midst of the funky restless i don't know anything anymore. i look out at the different faces of the ONE dance and feel such gratitude for the diversity ...each face of god dancing their particular story of the day ... each a thread in the fabric that is spirit woven ... spiritweaves ... beautiful union of spirit and matter ... unity in diversity ... exquisitely woven by each of us simply dancing ... allowing wherever we are to Be." deborah penner |
