spiritweaves ™ is born out of the 5 rhythms® and soul motion™.

the 5 rhythms® is as fluid as a river, as old as the stone people, as life giving as fire, as essential as air and as infinite as time. this ancient practice has been mapped out by gabrielle roth and is accessible to anyone courageous enough to dance their own dance. the 5 rhythms® begin in the body, connect to the heart, release the mind, lift the soul and come home to our spirit.

they are:

flowing

soft, female, flowing. i am one with my feminine power. mother earth and I melt into unique harmony. i follow the stream of life and sensuality. my body moves in spirals and I connect with the earth through my feet. there is no start or stop. everything is one big circle.

staccato

focused, male, percussive. my body makes sharp movements with precision and clarity. staccato connects me with my masculine power and the great father. my energy is directed. each movement has a definite beginning and ending. it is the gateway of truth and the heart.

chaos

mother earth and the great father melt together in my dance. music and rhythm become wild and abandoned. i set my body free and surrender to the impermanence. i let go of the patterning that has imprisoned me, dancing with effortless ease. chaos connects me with the emptiness which lets new things grow - it is the realm of art. it is a journey into the unknown.

lyrical

lyrical is the aftermath of chaos where my inner-child comes out and plays. it is air rooted to the mother. i dance my joy, i dance my bliss. i surrender to the infinite possibilities of my soul. sometimes I am spinning in circles until I fall.

stillness
the internal dance which aligns me with my spirit. i am fragile yet empowered, i am one with the nothingness. it unites me with love and compassion. i am the breath being breathed. i am diving into the vast ocean of my soul and the big silence.
